Usage

Zeda is the usual adverb for "also". It generally comes after the element it applies to: ana zeda, "me too". In a negative sentence, it corresponds to "either": houwa zeda ma jech, "he didn't come either". At the start of a sentence, it can add an argument, in the sense of "besides" or "and also". The word belongs to all spoken registers and is very often written zeda online. Do not confuse it with the verb zed, "to add, to increase", which is from the same family.
